MILITARY FAMILIES ABROAD DEAL WITH U.S. IMMIGRATION CONFUSION

According to an article on estripes.com: “The answers were different each time Lt. Brian White and his wife, Anna, asked immigration specialists questions about the process for her to become a U.S. Citizen.”

IMMIGRATION RAIDS AND CORRUPTION

A couple of interesting immigration-related articles.

According to the Associated Press:  “Federal authorities rounded up more than 1,300 illegal immigrants in Southern California during the past two weeks in what officials said Wednesday was the largest sweep of its kind.”

In a separate article, the Associated Press reports:  “An immigration official indicted on bribery and fraud charges is accused of taking money and gifts in exchange for freeing numerous illegal immigrants, including one who later killed a college student, federal officials said Wednesday.”

BALANCED IMMIGRATION REPORTING ON CNN?

For years CNN has had (and continues to have) Lou Dobbs presenting what I believe are his distorted views on immigration. However, now CNN has a show hosted by Rick Sanchez called “Out in the Open”. I highly recommend his show as he often devotes the full hour to the issues surrounding immigration and fairly presents ALL points of view.  The show airs weekdays at 8 PM.
