ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION DECLINES

According to the Associated Press: “Illegal immigration, which has sparked political and social turmoil in communities across the nation, is on the wane, according to an independent report released Thursday.”
Although increased high-profile enforcement of laws may be part of the reason for the decline, it is more likely a result of current economic conditions in the U.S.

REQUIREMENTS FOR NATURALIZATION ABROAD BY SPOUSES OF MEMBERS OF THE U.S. ARMED FORCES

According to a USCIS Press Release: “To be eligible for naturalization abroad, lawful permanent resident spouses of members of the U.S. armed forces, who live abroad on official military orders, must meet the requirements of either section 316(a) or 319(a) of the INA at the time of filing.”

NEW MCCAIN COMMERCIAL IN SPANISH TOUTS HIS SUPPORT FOR COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM

According to an article on washingtonpost.com: “The McCain campaign today announced another Spanish-language television commercial blaming Barack Obama for killing immigration reform. Called “Fradulent,” the spot will air, the campaign says, in Colorado and New Mexico.”
The article also has a link to the Spanish-language commercial. On Spanish language teevision, both candidates are tripping over themselves trying to emphasize their support for CIR.
