CAN THE GOP GET THEIR “HOUSE” IN ORDER AND PASS IMMIGRATION REFORM?

The prospect of Immigration Reform this year has been alive and well, dead and is according to recent news reports, now lies somewhere between critical and stable condition.  According to an article on foxnews.com:  “President Obama and other supporters of immigration reform see an open road on Capitol Hill toward passing legislation and have stepped up efforts with less than 20 working days left in this legislative session.”

The sticking point for House Republicans is the legalization component.  It is a tricky issue and it would be wise for the party to get this issue behind them because it is clearly a losing issue for that party to leave on the table.  Let us see if they can get their “House” in order.  If history is any indication, party leaders should wear steel toed boots for when they once again shoot themselves in the foot.
