ABC NEWS POLL ON IMMIGRATION

According to an ABC News Poll:  “Immigration remains a political challenge; reform efforts fell flat last spring and the public remains of two minds on enforcement. On one hand, just two in 10 say the government is doing enough to keep illegal immigrants out of the country; on the other, most, 58 percent, favor a path to citizenship for those here now — a program giving illegal immigrants the right to legal status if they pay a fine and meet other requirements.”

  1. Again with those selectively worded and directed polls. Yes, this country is good to LEGAL IMMIGRANTS which the ILLEGAL AlIENS, they are not IMMIGRANTS, take advantage of. Again ILLEGAL ALIENS are NOT IMMIGRANTS, they are ILLEGAL ALIENS starting off their new lives by breaking the law. I imagne the 58% number must come from the polling done in Illegal Alien day worker pickup spots and the number would be higher if the question was asked in their native language. Why not conduct your polls at a VFW or American Legion.

  2. Thanks for the comment. This was an ABC News poll. The following is information about the methodology used from their site:

“METHODOLOGY – This ABC News poll was conducted by telephone Sept. 27-30, 2007, among a random sample of 1,035 adults. The results have a three-point error margin. Field work by ICR-International Communications Research of Media, Pa. Analysis by Peyton M. Craighill.”
