PERM UPDATE

It seems that my most popular blog entries seems to be the anecdotal and rarely official information relating to the DOL’s PERM program and in particular the time lines for the agency to adjudicate applications.  Below is the latest I have found.

1.  New PERM ETA 9089 Form and system expected to be launched on July 1, 2010;

2.  The percentage of employer applications for permanent labor certification resolved within six months of initial filing is 17% for the quarter ending 6/30/09 as compared with 94% for the quarter that ending 6/30/08. (Source:  AILA InfoNet Doc No: 09111063 (Posted 11/10/09)).

3.  Cases that are audited are generally taking approximately 2 years from the date they were filed to be adjudicated.
